My name is Mrs Burke, Acting Head of School, and I would like to welcome you to our website. St Chad’s Catholic and Church of England High School is a fully inclusive, faith centred, welcoming Christian community guided by the example of Jesus Christ. We work together in order to nurture, value, and support all members of our school family. We promote loving, respectful relationships, lasting friendships filled with laughter and a secure learning environment for all staff and students. Together we will seek to realise our potential with pride, ambition and positivity.
At St Chad's we strive to ensure that we all follow our values (Love, Respect, Charity and Community) to understand what it is to be a member of our caring community. By doing this, we hope to encourage our students to achieve their full potential, and their aspirations for the future.
St Chad's High School has reported an astonishing 93.4 per cent attendance rate on the first day back. Our executive head Heather Aaron said she was proud of her pupils, parents and staff. She added: "Today we were delighted to welcome all staff and students as we returned to St Chads Catholic and Church of England High School."
"Following the long period of home schooling it was important to us to allow every pupil to return to school immediately so that they can restart their lessons with their teachers and peers."
Following on from successful A Level outcomes last week, we are delighted to report that students at St. Chad’s have achieved some of the highest grades possible in their GCSEs, as well as students making significant progress during their time at the school.
Top performers include:
Most progress made:
Congratulations to students, parents and staff who have all worked hard to achieve these outcomes. We are very proud of all of our students and wish them every success in the future.
Students at St Chad’s have achieved an excellent set of results in their A Levels, Level 3 BTEC courses, RSL music and Level 3 CACHE course (which enables students to gain employment in Early Years Education).
The results have ensured that all students wishing to progress to university or to an apprenticeship have secured their place. Others have secured employment. All students who applied for university have secured a place on their first-choice courses.
With an overall pass rate of 100 % A*-E, 3% of the grades achieved were A*/A at A level, 33% at distinction for the BTEC courses and an outstanding 100% at distinction* for the RSL music course. Overall, 69% of students achieved A*-C grades and 100% achieved a pass or above in all BTEC and RSL courses. Many students performed exceptionally well. We are very proud of all of our students and of their achievements in what has been a very difficult and uncertain time for them. We congratulate them all and wish them every success for the future.
